Adopt-a-Park
Information & Enrollment Form
Adopt-a-Park IS:

A program to increase resident awareness
and pride in the community’s parks.

A low-key informal program for scouts,
homeowner’s associations, and clubs in the community.
Adopt-a-Park is NOT:
Adopt-a-Park BENEFITS:

Community groups by providing an
opportunity to assemble and work toward a common goal.
- Instilling a sense
of pride in the community and its parks.
- Adopting agencies
will have a recognition sign hung under the adopted park’s formal
entrance sign.

Adopting agencies will be the guest of the
Parks and Recreation Department at an annual picnic in the park in honor
of their participation in the program.
Adopt-a-Park INVOLVES:
-
Assisting the Parks Division by reporting
problems.

Planning picnics, games, clean up days,
etc., in their adopted park.
- Initiating
beautification projects, such as planting flowers or ground covers,
adding benches or other park amenities, maintaining current landscaping
areas or other projects to further enhance the adopted park.
