Russ Ruzanski was sworn in as a Village Trustee on May 12, 2011.  His previous civic involvement includes service on the Planning & Zoning Committee for the past two years.  Prior to that, he served on the Business Relations Committee for four years, chairing the Committee for two years.

He is a graduate of the Citizens Police Academy.

He is currently involved with raising funds for the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry capital fund appeal to relocate and expand their service to the area residents. His church involvement includes serving as a worship leader and youth Sunday school teacher, currently teaching grades 1 & 2.  He is in his eighth year of teaching.
