FY2013 Total Compensation Package Report - posted 12/17/2012

The Government Finance Officers Association presented the Village with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the FY2012 Budget period.  FY2012 was the 13th consecutive year that the Village has been presented this award!

A Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was also presented to Gerald D. Sagona, Village Administrator for being instrumental in achieving this award. 

The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.  Its attainment represents a significant achievement for the Village.  In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Village of Lake in the Hills for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011. This was the twelfth consecutive year that the Village has achieved this prestigious award.

In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, the Village must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report.  This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements.
