Grafton Township Grafton Township is a 36 square mile area bounded by Kane County on the south, Algonquin Township on the east, and Coral Township on the west. Its eastern border is a few blocks East of Frank Road in Lake in the Hills with the western border extending a few blocks west of Hemmer Road. This township government also is responsible for property tax assessments and some social and recreational services within Lake in the Hills. Algonquin Township Algonquin Township is a 36 square mile area bounded by Kane and Cook Counties on the south, Lake County on the east, and Crystal Lake Avenue on the north. Its western border is a few blocks East of Frank Road in Lake in the Hills. The township government is responsible for property tax assessments and some social and recreational services.
