Projects Under Design & Awaiting Bids

 

2011 Water Main Improvements Program

This annual program continues the maintenance and replacement of existing undersized and/or failing main.  The project will consist of placing 8” water main along the following roadways:  Plum St, Hilltop Dr, Poplar St, Cherry St and Cedar.  SEC Group is currently in the process of designing the project.

Pyott Road Relocation Phase 2

Currently 99% Complete

Start:  July 2009        Estimated Finish:  August 2010

This work consists of relocating Pyott Road and the Prairie Path east of the LITH Airport. The punch list was received from IDOT.  The silt fence has been removed and some check dams have been removed.

 

Construct Taxiway Phase 1

Currently 25% Complete

Start:  April 2010          Estimated Finish:  October 2010

This work consists of the earthwork required to relocate the western half of the parallel taxiway to provide safe separation from the runway.  The work will also create the primary storm water detention facility for the airport.  The contractor is currently on-site and continuing with the earth work.

 

Well 17 Water Treatment Plant

Currently 0% Complete

Start:  July 2010        Estimated Finish:  July 2011

This project consists of constructing a new water treatment plant next to the existing Well 9.  Maxim Construction has installed the perimeter fence and plans to start excavating on 8/25/10.

 

2010 MFT Road Program

Currently 0% Complete

This annual program continues the maintenance of existing Village Streets.  The project will consist of grinding existing asphalt surface and then placement of new asphalt, select concrete curb and drive aprons along the following roadways: Mckinley St (Monroe to Jefferson), Birch St, Pine St, Hilltop Dr, Plum St, Deer Creek Ct, Royal Oak Ct, Rolling Hills Ct, Spring Garden Ct, Barrington Ct, Morningside Ct, Middlefield Ct, Appletree Ct, Hazelwood Ct, Farmington Ct, Manchester Ct, Rolling Hills Dr (Greenfield Ln to Farmington Ct), Royal Oak Ln and Heavens Gate (Miller Rd to Heavens Gate).  The contracts were approved by IDOT and sent back to the Village and the contractor.  Pre-construction meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 8/31/10.
