Projects Under Design & Awaiting Bids

 

Well 17 Water Treatment Plant

Currently 95% Complete

Estimated Start:    June 2009            Estimated Finish:    March 2010

This project consists of constructing a new water treatment plant next to the existing Well 9.  Baxter & Woodman presented to the Village Board on 2/11/10.      

 

2010 MFT Road Program

Currently 20% Complete

Estimated Start:    January 2010        Estimated Finish:    March 2010

This annual program continues the maintenance of existing Village streets.  The project will consist of grinding existing asphalt surface and then placement of new asphalt, select concrete curb and drive aprons along the following roadways: Sycamore St., Birch St., Pine St., Hilltop Dr., Plum St., Marion Ct., Barbara Ct., Elizabeth Ct., Michael Ct., Kay Ct., Kurt Ct., Joseph Ct., Bonnie Ct., Willow St. and Anderson St.  In the process of measuring for quantities for this years project.

 

 

Currently Underway 

 

Haligus Road Reconstruction

Currently 99% Complete

Estimated Start:    Summer 2009        Estimated Finish:    Spring 2010

This project will consist of reconstructing the existing roadway, correcting drainage issues along Haligus Rd. and widening the road from Miller Rd. to Geneva Lane.  There is some minor landscaping to complete and some utilities that need to be removed.

Oak St. LAPP Project

Currently 0% Complete

Estimated Start:    Spring 2010            Estimated Finish:    Summer 2010

This project will consist of resurfacing Oak St. from Crystal Lake Rd. to Burr St.  The contract was awarded to Arrow Road Construction.

2010 Water Main Improvements Program

Currently 0% Complete

Estimated Start:    March 2010            Estimated Finish:    July 2010

This annual program continues the maintenance and replacement of existing undersized and/or failing main.  The project will consist of placing 8" water main along the following roadways:  Hilltop Dr., Ash St., Poplar St., and Plum St.  The contract has been awarded to Geradi Sewer & Water.

Goose Lake Forebay Dredging

Currently 0% Complete

Estimated Start:    March 2010            Estimated Finish:    April 2010

This work consists of lowering the lake and dredging the northern portion of the lake.  Sole access to the lake will be from Willow Street at the north end of the lake.  The contract was awarded to V3 Construction.  The precon meeting is scheduled for 3/12/10.

Pyott Rd Relocation Phase 2

Currently 97% Complete

Estimated Start:    July 2009                Estimated Finish:  May 2010  

This work consists of relocating Pyott Rd. and the Prairie Path east of the LITH Airport.  The contract was awarded to Plote Construction, Inc.  All binder pavement is complete.  Work is suspended for the winter.  Work will resume in the spring of 2010 with the installation of the final lift of pavement and pavement marking.

Construct Taxiway Phase I

Currently 0% Complete

Estimated Start:    April 2010            Estimated Finish:    October 2010

This work consists of the earthwork required to relocate the western half of the parallel taxiway to provide safe separation from the runway.  The work will also create the primary storm water detention facility for the airport.  The contract is awarded to Curran Construction Co. and work will begin in late spring 2010.
