Park History

LEROY GUY was the second Village President, serving from 1959-69. He had been appointed Village Treasurer, and then selected by the Board to serve as Trustee. According to a newspaper interview, he cited two big accomplishments as Village President: all the Village streets were primed and seal coated, and a referendum to form the Sanitary District was passed to do away with septic systems. He also served on the Fire District Board and the Sanitary District Board.
