RICHARD TAYLOR was very active with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Soccer Association as a coach. In 1989 he surveyed all the ALITHSA playing fields. For 11 years he was an EMT with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Emergency Ambulance Service. Richard Taylor died in 1990, and the soccer field in Morningside Park was dedicated in his honor about three years later.
