Yard Waste Pickup Service

Landscape waste (grass, leaves and branches up to 3.5 inches in diameter) is picked up on your normal waste collection day, April 1st through November 30th

Landscape waste must be placed in biodegradable paper bags (yard bags, etc...) or in standard 34-gallon waste containers.  Sod is not accepted.  Containers must be used for yard waste only and must clearly display a “YARD WASTE ONLY” decal.  Decals are available at Village Hall at no charge.  Containers must not exceed 34 gallons.

Branches and brush less then 4 inches in diameter, that do not fit in a can or bag, must be securely bundled, with string or twine. Bundles must not exceed 4 feet in length and 50 pounds in weight. Branches and brush larger than 4 inches in diameter are treated as refuse.

Any yard waste generated by a private contractor is the responsibility of the contractor.

Wood chips generated from forestry operations are available at the Public Works facility located at 9010 Haligus Road.

The leaf pick-up service is carried out as part of the yard waste program and is provided through the end of November each year.
