Sanitation and Sewer Services

The Lake in the Hills Sanitary District is a separate government entity providing wastewater collection and water pollution control with in the Village of Lake in the Hills.  While standards for sewer system design may be found in the Lake in the Hills Subdivision Control Ordinance, sewer connection and service fees must be paid to the District.

The homeowner is responsible for the sanitary sewer service line from the house up to and including the connection to the sewer main.  If you experience problems with your sewer, please contact the District first.  A District employee will come out to determine where the problem exists.
