Village Trustee Joseph Murawski
|
Joseph
Murawski has been active with the
Village of Lake in the Hills for over two decades. In 1981 he was appointed
to the Zoning Board of Appeals and served until he was elected Village
Trustee in 1991 to 1999. During 7 months in 1996 to 1997 he served as
Acting Village President. Trustee Murawski was elected again in 2003 for a
four year term of office as Village Trustee. In addition to his service with the Village, Trustee Murawski has served on the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission, the Board of Directors for the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce, and Algonquin Township as a Republican Precinct Committeeman and Chairman of the Transportation Committee. Trustee Murawski was the United States Air Force Airman of the month in 1959, Lake in the Hill’s Citizen of the Year in 1994, and has received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award during his almost 40 years of service to the Boy Scouts of America. Trustee Murawski has been married for 40 years to his wife Jean. They have three children (Edward, Suzanne, and Joseph Jr.) and three grandchildren. |
