Advertising Opportunities

The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department offers your business an exceptional advertising opportunity to reach local residents through our seasonal brochure. Over 10,000 are mailed to all residents and businesses in Lake in the Hills, and are also distributed at Village Hall. An advertisement here is not only highly visible, it is targeted to the consumers in your market, and it’s a fixture in households for at least a two month period. Dollar for dollar, you get an excellent return on your advertising investment.

Reserve your ad space for our Winter/Spring 2011 edition by September 22, 2010, and you will get a 10% discount on advertising rates. Simply fill out our ad reservation form and return it to the Parks & Recreation Department at Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate. You can lock in the discounted rate for an ad in our Summer 2011 and Fall 2011 brochures by indicating so on the ad reservation form. You will receive an invoice from our Finance Department once your ad reservation is processed. Ad rates are based on hi-resolution (300 dpi) print-ready artwork files supplied by the advertiser. Ads can be created by the Parks & Rec designer for an additional design fee. The deadline for submission of ad materials is November 3, 2010.

La Trattoria selected for Larsen Business Award

At the August 17, 2010 meeting, the Lake in the Hills’ Business Relations Committee (BRC) selected La Trattoria Italian Restaurant as the next Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Award winner. The restaurant, located at 9541 Ackman Road, was previously located in another suburb, but was relocated to Lake in the Hills in February 2009 by its owners, who were also Lake in the Hills residents.

The Committee unanimously voted for La Trattoria, as they felt the restaurant captured the essence of the message the Committee has been promoting over the past year – Shop Lake in the Hills. Committee Member Laura Jozwiak stated on the nomination, “The benefit is not only to their growing and loyal customers that are hooked on their freshly made Italian food, but our community also benefits by the additional sales tax and employment opportunities.”
