The Village of Lake in the Hills is committed to maintaining the quality of existing commercial development and expanding the Village’s tax base with new commercial development, and to taking a proactive approach in working with our citizens, businesses and other agencies on carrying out our mission and educating them on the benefits of our objectives. 

In May 2010, the Village Board of Trustees passed an Economic Development Incentive Policy providing a range of discretionary incentives designed to provide for commercial growth and opportunities that might not otherwise be possible in the Village.  The Policy is intended to help expand the Village’s tax base, when and where deemed necessary to provide a net public benefit to the citizens of Lake in the Hills.
