The Summer Sunset Festival was developed to promote a community festival for the Labor Day Weekend.  All those who are involved in this weekend are volunteers of the community.  Stay and listen to the bands, enjoy the variety of food and the fun of the carnival or perhaps come back with your family on Saturday or Sunday.

Registration

  • On-line (SignMeUp.com): Click Here.  The cutoff for using SignMeUp.com  is Wednesday, August 29 at 5:00pm.

  • On-line at www.lith.org:  The cutoff for on-line registration through the Village website is Friday, August 31 at 12:00pm. (You will require a user name and password to register through the Village's website.)

  • By mail: Submit the Registration Form and a check made payable to:

  • Race day registration is available beginning at 5:30pm at Race Day Headquarters, 5200 Miller Road.

 

Entry Fees:

Early Bird (Register prior to or on August 27, 2012) - $25.00

Registration on or after August 28, 2012 - $30.00

 

Refunds:

The Village does not issue refunds on races and special events.

Directions

Located on the grounds of Sunset Park, home of the Summer Sunset Festival. Sunset Park is located at 5200 Miller Road in Lake in the Hills. From Randall Road, take Algonquin Road (Rt. 62) west approximately 2.5 miles to Lakewood Road. Take Lakewood Road north to Miller Road. Take Miller Road west following the signs to Sunset Park.  

 

Packet Pick Up

Race day packet pick up begins at 5:30pm at Race Day Headquarters, 5200 Miller Road, Lake in the Hills.

 

The Course

This 5K (3.1 Mile)/ 2 mile walk course will be flat and fast with no need to worry about the hills. The evening air is sure to make for an enjoyable race.

Premiums

All paid participants will receive a limited print short sleeve technical shirt, fruit, beverage, and festival food voucher. Plus racers can enjoy the variety of foods and entertainment available at the Summer Sunset Festival.

 

Awards  

Awards will be given out at the Sunset Festival Main Stage at approximately 8:15 p.m. pending when the last person crosses the finish line. Awards will be given to the overall winner and are 3 deep in each age category for the 5K participants only.
