Village-wide applications of a herbicide to control broadleaf weeds are scheduled from April 16-27 on all Village rights-of-way, weather permitting. A Bark Park application will occur April 21. Residents and pets should not enter treated areas until dry, which is typically 1 to 2 hours. We appreciate your cooperation! 🌿
In compliance with the Illinois Pesticide Application on Rights-of-Way Notification Act (Public Act 103-0976), effective January 1, 2025, we have attached upcoming pesticide application notifications to this page. This law mandates that municipalities and government entities provide at least 24 hours of public notice before applying pesticides on public rights-of-way within municipal boundaries. The notice includes details such as the location and date of intended applications, the name and type of pesticide to be used, the reason for use, concentrations, any special instructions, the name and telephone number of the applicator, and contact information for the Illinois Department of Agriculture.
