Hard surfaces at Village parks will be sprayed with a herbicide by Public Works over a two-week period that starts Monday (June 8). The recent parks spraying by a contractor did not include hard surfaces such as cracks in concrete and asphalt.

The herbicide (a type of pesticide) will eliminate grasses and broadleaf weeds. Treated areas typically dry within the hour and can then be used again.
