Do you live in Lake in the Hills and are passionate about our Parks and Recreation programs and parks? Consider applying for an immediate opening on the Parks and Rec Board!

Board members are appointed by Village President Ray Bogdanowski and serve four-year terms. The seven-person board meets six times per year, typically on the first Thursday of designated months at 6:30 pm at Village Hall. In addition, there are special activities board members participate in during the year.

The board advises on recreation programs, park improvements, capital projects, policies and other matters related to the Village's parks and recreation system.

An application can be found on the Boards & Commissions page under the Government tab on the Village’s website at lith.org. The completed form gets submitted to the village president for consideration.

Applicants should demonstrate a history of community involvement and explain why parks, recreation and youth programs are important to them while highlighting relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
