General Water Bill Information   

Water billing customers not enrolled in E-Billing will receive a water bill in the mail by the first (1st) day of the month.  If you have not received your water bill by the fifth (5th) day of the month, please contact Water Billing at 847-960-7400.  Residential water customers are billed quarterly and commercial water customers monthly.  Failure to receive a bill does not exempt the customer from the late payment penalty.  

E-Billing

Paperless water billing is available for all water customers. Easily access your water bill right from your email and receive it the day it is created without the delay of mail. The online billing portal E-Suite is private and secure. To enroll, click here, and enter the account number from your water bill to create your account.

Water bills are due the 21st of the month unless this date falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case the due date will be the next business day after the 21st. 

Due dates for residential water bill payments are as follows:

  • Cycle One: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 100 through 200. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on December 22, 2025.

  • Cycle Two: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 201 through 213. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on January 21, 2026.

  • Cycle Three: This billing cycle includes all residential accounts beginning with 301 through 310. Water bill payments are due by the end of the business day on November 21, 2025.

Payment Options 

Direct Pay

The Village's Direct Pay Program is a free service that allows your checking or savings account to be debited automatically for the amount of your water bill on the bill's due date. To sign up for the Direct Pay service, please complete the Direct Pay Authorization Form.

Pay By Mail

Please mail water payments to the following address:

When making your payment by check through the mail, please be sure to include the payment stub from your water bill. When mailing payment allow at least 14 business days before the due date to ensure accurate processing of your payment.

If you submit your payment online through your bank, please change the mailing address. Verify that your water account number in your online payment system is accurate. Payments are credited to water accounts when they are received.

Online Payments

The Village also offers the ability to make a one-time payment of your water bill online. You can choose between using a credit card or an electronic transfer from your bank account. A convenience fee will be charged for this service. If you would like to use this feature, click here.

Sewer/sanitation payments cannot be made online through the Village of Lake in the Hills. They must be paid to the Lake in the Hills Sanitary District, which is a separate governing entity from the Village.

Collection Locations
Payments may be dropped off utilizing the drop box located in the drive entrance to Village Hall. Residents may also make payments at both First National Bank locations in Lake in the Hills.
