Jaycee Park ImprovementsJaycee Park proposed equipment

As some residents know, Jaycee Park at 61 Oakleaf Road next to the water tower is undergoing a multi-phase upgrade that will position it as a state-recognized model for teen fitness and outdoor recreation, funded partially by a grant.

Last year the basketball court was resurfaced. This year work is underway to replace the playground equipment with components aligned with a 13+ Fitness Zone model, which will occupy one-third of the park. It includes safety surfacing that is suitable for outdoor fitness and compliant with accessibility standards.

Old equipment has been removed, and new equipment including a recumbent cycle and cardio walker is coming this spring. Please stay tuned for an installation schedule when available.

The Jaycee Park improvement project reflects years of community engagement and strategic planning. When completed, the high-impact, cost-effective enhancements will serve the neighborhood and broader community for many years to come.
