Projects Under Construction

Woods Creek Reach 13 Restoration: Lower Blackhawk Drive stream bank has begun to eroded over the past several years due to heavy rainfalls. The section of the creek line is referred to as Reach 13 of the Woods Creek Watershed. The Village has completed three phases of Woods Creek stream bank restoration projects to improve water quality, improve fish habitat, bank stabilization and reduce silt in Woods Creek Lake. The streambank is located below Woods Creek Lake, but does feed into the Woods Creek Watershed for communities to the south.
The goal of this project is to restore the streambank to its previous state. The scope of this project will result in a combination of desired outcomes such as improved water quality, reduced erosion in the watershed and stream bank stabilization. Construction is anticipated to start in the summer of 2025.
