The Cost Sharing Sidewalk Replacement Program allows residents to hire their own contractor to repair public sidewalks fronting their property and receive a rebate for repair costs up to a maximum amount of $325. Rebate amounts are based on a flat rate of $3.25 per square foot of sidewalk repaired.

Repairs or improvements would be limited to non-hazardous or aesthetic conditions. The program will be administered on a first come, first served basis and is subject to limited funding availability. Repairs made to sidewalks on private property are not eligible for funding.

Property owners are advised to inform the Village of Lake in the Hills Public Works Department in early spring of their interest to participate in this year's program by submitting a Sidewalk Replacement Application.
